As an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, contributing to the efficient flow and maintenance of material handling equipment batteries for the Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will:

• Perform the maintenance of material handling equipment batteries.
• Adhere to the maintenance schedule and operating procedures for watering and washing batteries, cables, and connections.
• Perform audits related to the integrity and condition of batteries and battery related equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in all material handling equipment storage and maintenance locations within the fulfilment unit.
• Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is strong and embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

Previous material handling equipment experience preferred. Strong communication skills. Requirements: Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
