Duties
Build advanced feature extraction algorithms that feed into various advertising applications, including macro-contextual targeting, relevance and ranking, and performance optimization. Build, deploy, and monitor machine learning and statistical models to predict or estimate key signals that are used to optimize advertising product performance. Run large scale statistical A/B testing to evaluate the performance of machine learning and statistical models in advertising applications which serve hundreds of millions of impressions per day. Build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring and alerting using Tableau, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash. Share business insights internally and externally. Work on platforms to support end to end machine learning life cycle using Mlflow, KubeFlow, and MetaFlow. Build, maintain, and monitor scalable data pipelines using distributed computing frameworks (Hadoop and Spark) and job schedulers (Airflow and Azkaban) to support modeling and optimization products. Work on systems that process terabytes of data per day, optimize for cost and latency, and maintain data fidelity and methodological consistency to ensure quality and stability of models and applications. Develop unit tests for code components, participate in peer code review, and implement CI/CD solutions using Jenkins, Maven, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required
Experience developing and implementing machine learning models to solve real-world problems and fit algorithms to specific use cases. Experience with one of the following high-level programming languages: Python or Java. Experience with machine learning modeling and data analysis tools including Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SciPy, and SQL. Experience working with a code version tool (Git or Perforce) and Job Scheduler. Experience with Linux/Unix OS and command line scripting. Experience with object-oriented design, software development, and system architecture. Experience with data analysis, visualizations, and obtaining key insights from data. Experience providing research insights on experiments. Experience with big data distributed computing frameworks involving Spark, MapReduce, HDFS, and Hadoop. Experience working with cloud computing platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure. Experience utilizing web development tools including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience working with databases. Experience with statistical concepts and methodologies. Experience with automation, including deployment, management, and monitoring of models in production environments. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range
$171,337/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
