We are looking for energetic individuals who are ready to join us to take our restaurant to the next level. The biggest responsibility as a Chick-fil-A team member is to provide an experience to our guests that goes beyond their expectations. This involves providing excellent customer service with a warm welcome and a caring goodbye and serving great food.

Competitive Salary:
Full-time starts at $14.00 per hour, but can earn up to $15.00 per hour. Part-time starts at $12.00 per hour, but can earn up to $13.50 per hour.

Requirements for Chick-fil-A Team Members:

• Reliable transportation
• Must be available to work holidays and weekends (Saturday)
• Professional appearance and makeup without tattoos on the face or neck
• Wear and maintain required uniform
• Must work well in a team and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions
• Must understand basic food safety and must comply with all corporate, unit, and state or federal policies.
• Must be able to obtain a food handlers card for the city of Portsmouth
• Candidates are also expected to be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Previous experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities of Front Counter and Drive-Thru Team Members:

• Maintenance of the restaurant parking lot, outdoor trash bins, restrooms, children's play area, dining area, and front counter and self-service area.
• Receive payments from guests outside in the drive-thru or inside at the front counter or drive-thru window in the form of credit, cash, or check. Must be comfortable with handling all forms of payment, especially cash.
• Receive and deliver orders from guests outside in the drive-thru or inside at the front counter.
• Interact with guests dining in the restaurant or who are pick-up checking the status of their order, offering them drinks and any other accommodations they may need.
• Bag orders arriving through mobile destinations via the front counter and Drive Thru (e.g., DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, and the Chick-fil-A One app).
• Prepare drinks and desserts for guests arriving through the front counter and drive-thru.
• Deliver orders outside to guests in the drive-thru or on the sidewalk.
• Deliver orders inside to guests who dine in or take out and mobile options are available for both destinations.
• Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards regarding food preparation, handling, and delivery.
• Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards regarding customer service provided to guests.

Responsibilities of Kitchen Team Members:

• Maintenance of the restaurant parking lot, outdoor trash bins, dishwashing area, refrigerator and freezer, thawing cabinets, bread table, and grill and other equipment used to cook and prepare food.
• Follow first-in, first-out rotation and other food safety measures such as date labeling, temperature controls, and more.
• Preparation of food that involves handling raw chicken and cooked products for both breakfast and lunch.
• Work machinery that involves handling hot grease or working around hot surfaces.
• Follow specific cooking procedures for items such as cookies, grilled and fried filets, mac and cheese, and more.
• Filet and cover raw chicken and deliver it to the cookers to load and cook on the grill or pressure fryers.
• Manipulate the machines in which the raw product is cooked and transfer them to the line for assembly once the cooking time is complete.
• Drop various baskets of fries and load them into the frying shoot for front counter and self-service team members.
• Assemble sandwiches and other special orders and place them in the correct locations for front counter and self-service team members.
• Package nuggets and strips and place them in the correct locations for front counter and self-service team members.
• Prepare pre-made and custom salads and place them in the correct locations for front counter and self-service team members.
• Communicate with front counter and drive-thru team members when there is downtime on essential and non-essential products.
