Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Diagnose, maintain, and perform basic-to-intermediate repairs on commercial cooking and holding equipment, including fryers, grills, flat tops, toasters, ovens, and warmers
- Work confidently on commercial-grade equipment, not residential appliances
- Determine when to repair in-house, shut down equipment for safety, or escalate to licensed vendors (in collaboration with the Executive Director of Operations)
- Partner with leadership to prioritize repairs impacting food safety, speed, and guest experience
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance across both locations
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and Chick-fil-A maintenance standards
- Respond promptly to urgent issues affecting operations
- Perform safe, practical electrical troubleshooting common to restaurants
- Replace switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast, plugs, and cords
- Diagnose tripped breakers, faulty connections, and power issues
- Use a multimeter safely and escalate licensed work appropriately
- Repair common restaurant plumbing issues, including leaks, faucets, valves, drains, and ice machine water lines
- Support dish machines, floor drains, and grease-related needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept facility inside and out
- Perform minor repairs (doors: hinges, closers, locks, shelving, drywall, tile)
- Support seasonal, safety, and compliance-related needs
- Maintain organized, stocked, and cost-conscious maintenance supplies
- Communicate priorities, timelines, and impacts clearly to leadership
- Document completed work and open items for accountability

This role is responsible for hands-on equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, urgent issue response, and stewardship of the Repairs & Maintenance budget. - Administrative Supervisor: Owner/Operator
- Operational Oversight: Executive Director of Operations at each store
- Works closely with: Restaurant leadership teams, Directors/Supervisors
Schedule & Physical Requirements:
- Supports two locations and requires reliable transportation
- Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and urgent call-ins
- Able to lift and carry tools and parts and work safely around hot and cold equipment
- Comfortable working in kitchens, back-of-house areas, rooftops, and exterior spaces
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial restaurant or food service maintenance
- Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment repairs
- Working knowledge of restaurant plumbing and electrical systems
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
