Back of House Team Leader/ Shift LeaderA Back of House (FOH) Team Leader/ Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. Our Team Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence. A Team Leader's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Team Leader

Responsibilities

Your role, as a Team Lead/ Shift Lead, is to ensure the smooth operation of the Back of House. You are responsible for all Operational Expectations, setups for your shift, people placement, and overseeing the Team Members.

You will be expected to work in a position and ensure the team has clear direction on what to do for their shift.

You will prioritize Food Safety and Food Quality.

You will demonstrate and coach excellent customer service while providing your team support and discipline.

Clear understanding and proficiency of Pathway for all Back of House positions

Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant

Clear understanding and teaching of lean processes (Lean Chicken Entre, Lean Prep, Lean Chicken Thawing, Chicken Tracking, Cool Down)

  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Be a friendly, encouraging team player

Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder

Count drawers and finalize day/ Cash management (counting tills, safe count, smart safe deposits, and Inform)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Creating setups, team placement, and team member transitions

    Properly perform eRQA, Daily SAFE Critical, and Checklists once a shift

    Labor and break management

  • Execute "on the spot" training as necessary
  • Monthly meetings with Leadership Team

    Bi-Weekly meetings with Directors/ Operator

    Qualifications and

    Requirements

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
  • Strong commitment to superior customer service
  • Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Chick-fil-A experience required.

    Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
