Kitchen Manager Position
At Chick-fil-A, the Kitchen Manager position is more than just a job, it's an opportunity. Responsibilities:
Everything behind the swinging door during the shift
Always delivering crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A Quality requirements
Coaching the behaviors of all Leaders and Team Members who work in the Kitchen
Have a hustle that creates surprisingly fast Speed of Service
Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed
Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment
Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety
Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the kitchen
Ensuring the kitchen is ready for a Backstage Tour with a four-minute lead time
Daily assign kitchen crew to positions and ensure all pickup/delivery orders are made in a timely manner
Coaching, evaluating, and providing accountability for all Kitchen Team Members
Aligning daily practices of the Kitchen with the Vision of the organization and with the Goals of the organization
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment used in the Kitchen
Either repair "in-house" or call appropriate repair person for broken equipment within 24 hours of notification of problem
Track and eliminate waste of food
Responsible for team building, and coaching members of the Kitchen Team
Responsible for all checklists, truck orders, and produce orders
A Manager should:
Work a minimum of forty-five hours per week in the restaurant (5 days) including Friday and Saturday
Allocate at least two hours per week to planning
Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all related goals and success factors to Kitchen Team Members

Qualifications:
  • High school degree is required. BA/BS in Food Service or Culinary Management is preferred
  • 2+ years of recent restaurant management experience
  • Open availability
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices
  • Demonstrates loyalty, integrity, motivation, trustworthiness, dependability, empathy and professionalism
  • A passion for people and service
  • Able to lead, coach and delegate a team of individuals in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to make quick decisions with the restaurant's best interest in mind
  • Ability to develop others and an eagerness to learn and improve yourself

  • Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
  • Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 40 lbs.
