Our team leaders are responsible for supporting the senior management in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. The two main areas of focus for a Team Leader are completing tasks to run the restaurant effectively and training and developing team members. Team leaders lead by example and set the tone for others to follow.

Responsibilities of the team leader

Participate operationally in daily activities in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants

• Provide immediate and respectful response to guest needs

Help in training new employees, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team

Be a friendly and motivating team player

Open and/or close, lead changes, key holder

Count drawers and end of day

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Previous experience as a shift leader, team leader, supervisor, team captain, restaurant manager, or assistant restaurant manager is not required but preferred.

Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are managed by independent franchise business owners who make all their own business decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.
