Night Shift Front of House DirectorThe Night Shift Front of House Director is responsible for leading all front-of-house operations during the evening shift, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong team performance, and efficient execution of restaurant systems. This leader sets the tone for the shift by coaching and developing team members, maintaining operational excellence, and driving speed, accuracy, and hospitality.

This role requires a highly organized, people-focused leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, uphold Chick-fil-A standards, and create a positive culture for both guests and team members.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Shift Oversight

Lead and oversee all front-of-house operations during assigned night shifts

Serve as the primary person responsible for shift execution, guest experience, and team performance during evening hours

Direct, support, and coach front-of-house leaders and team members in real time

Make sound decisions under pressure to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Model professionalism, urgency, and hospitality at all times.

Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives remarkable service consistent with Chick-fil-A standards
  • Monitor dining room, front counter, drive-thru, mobile ordering, and curbside operations to maintain speed and accuracy
  • Address guest concerns, service recovery situations, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Create a welcoming, friendly, and efficient environment for guests throughout the shift

Team Development

  • Train, coach, and develop front-of-house team members and shift leaders
  • Hold team members accountable to performance expectations, appearance standards, and service behaviors

  • Provide real-time feedback and support to improve team effectiveness
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement

  • Assist with identifying high-potential team members for future leadership growth
  • Operational Excellence

  • Ensure front-of-house systems, procedures, and food safety standards are followed consistently
  • Oversee shift deployment, labor positioning, and break management to support business needs
  • Monitor throughput, order accuracy, cleanliness, and overall shift readiness
  • Partner with kitchen leadership to maintain strong communication between front and back of house
  • Ensure opening, transition, and closing responsibilities are completed thoroughly and on time
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked front-of-house areas
  • Performance & Accountability
  • Help drive key performance indicators such as guest satisfaction, speed of service, order accuracy, labor efficiency, and sales growth

  • Review shift performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support leadership in implementing operational goals and store initiatives
  • Maintain accountability for team attendance, adherence to procedures, and consistent shift execution
  • Administrative & Director-Level Responsibilities

  • Support scheduling, staffing needs, and shift coverage for evening operations
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new front-of-house team members as needed
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding shift performance, staffing concerns, guest issues, and operational opportunities
  • Help develop systems and processes to improve night shift operations

    Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning for front-of-house excellence

    Qualifications Previous chick fil a experience

    Previous leadership experience in restaurant, hospitality, or customer service preferred

  • Strong ability to lead teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

    Flexible availability, especially evenings, weekends, and peak business times

  • Ability to move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment
