Store Manager
My experience was not good, I haven’t work retail again since I left Dollar General
During my time at the company, I found the greatest strength to be the performance of the staff I supervised, including security and maintenance personnel, who consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic. However, a significant challenge was the consistently high workload, which made it difficult to maintain adequate coverage, particularly during morning shifts. Unexpected staff absences frequently resulted in extended periods of unattended operations. As a store manager, I also felt the compensation was below market standards. The company culture is largely self-defined by management within each individual location. A typical workday involved consistent effort to maintain operational standards, with inventory counts representing the only scheduled downtime.

Key Holder
Stress
The employee consistently experiences challenges with adequate staffing levels to complete assigned tasks effectively. The workload frequently requires the individual to manage responsibilities typically associated with three team members simultaneously, leading to a high level of workload and concerns regarding compensation relative to the demands of the role.
