Senior Associate, Commercial OperationsThe Commercial Operations team is part of the Sales Compliance organization that is composed of 4 unique functions

• Revenue Reconciliation, Contract Operations, User Access Controls, Commercial Operations. As an organization we are responsible for ensuring that our deals are accurate, compliant, and the necessary controls are in place so we can safeguard DoorDash's revenue across all business lines. The Commercial Operations team play a unique role in partnering directly with SMB & Enterprise sales across all business lines to not only ensure compliance, but to also accelerate deal velocity, reduce friction for sales in the quoting & contract processes, and owning deal structuring for high complex deals.

The Senior Associate on the Commercial Ops team will be managing aspects of the deal approval process including establishing policies over deal execution to ensure accuracy of system data and approvers to maintain compliance, while enabling Doordash velocity by optimizing sales productivity. This position will play a key role in expanding the Commercial operations function across DoorDash while enabling strategic opportunities and providing critical support to the sales organization that will drive efficiencies, and more robust controls. In addition, you will be proactive in identifying and implementing systems and process improvements to help grow and scale the business.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will have

2-4 years experience in a fast growing preferably tech environment

Develop effective and repeatable deal processes, identifying process improvement, automation, and simplification to reduce cycle time

Be an enabler of deal formation and execution, focusing on minimizing cycle times

Identify and lead projects to execution, leveraging AI where applicable, to drive process improvements to expedite deal velocity.

Drive reporting and monitoring across several different queues and independently tackle an array of complex deal scenarios.

Ability to communicate and influence across teams and senior management.

Ability to develop relationships across various stakeholder groups including legal, sales, sales operations, accounting, finance and product management to complete objectives

Establish and maintain approval matrix across all stakeholders and systems and streamline approval flows.

We're excited about you because

Have previous experience in Deal Desk, Customer Experience, or Sales Operations

Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; diligent with deliverables and deadlines, able to prioritize multiple deliverables simultaneously

Attention to detail to drive accuracy with a strong bias for action structure complex deals that may require multiple stakeholder approvals in a timely manner.

Experienced navigating and problem solving sub-optimal system, processes, and ambiguous situations that lack structure

Strong analytical skills along with the ability to demonstrate practical judgment in ambiguous situations

Takes initiative in identifying root cause of issues and working with stakeholders on longer term solutions

Export communicator who is able to build strong relationships with sales and cross functional partners and is able to demonstrate the impact of their contributions

Technical aptitude to work with multiple systems including Salesforce, JIRA, and Contracting Software

Have advanced knowledge of Salesforce, Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g Ironclad), and Google Suite

Bachelor's degree, Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant fields preferred

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
