Our Advertising & Promotions team operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, surfacing and monetizing relevant content that benefits our core audiences. We provide digital solutions to help advertisers reach DoorDash audiences.
The Agency & Partnerships Strategy & Operations team partners closely with our Sales organization to grow the agency holding company channel Publicis, WPP, Dentsu, Omnicom, and more into a scaled, durable revenue stream, and to build and scale the strategic partnerships (data, measurement, verification, and technology) that support DoorDash's broader advertising platform.
About the Role
We're looking for a strategic operator to own the day-to-day strategy and operations for DoorDash's Agency Sales channel. As the Senior Manager, Agency Partnerships Strategy & Operations, you will drive the JBP process, revenue reporting, and operating rhythm that turn our relationships with agency holding companies Publicis, WPP, Dentsu, and more into durable, incremental revenue, while partnering closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal to unlock new growth.
Specifically, you will:
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. Specifically, you will:
- Own the Agency JBP (Joint Business Plan) process end-to-end for major holding companies economic modeling, deal construction, internal alignment with Sales, Finance, and Legal, negotiation support; and post-signature progress tracking and driving towards attainment.
- Drive the Agency WBR/QBR operating rhythm: build and maintain the revenue dashboards, forecasting, and incrementality methodology that give leadership a clear, accurate view of channel performance.
- Partner with Sales leadership to identify and unlock incremental growth new advertiser activation, non-endemic revenue, co-marketing, and expansion of Agency-relevant ad products.
- Build and maintain agency-facing GTM materials narratives, decks, and vertical playbooks (e.g. QSR/Rx) in partnership with Product Marketing and Sales.
- Serve as the S&O point of contact for cross-functional partners (Product, Finance, Legal, Symbiosys) on agency-specific credits, contracting, measurement/verification, and data partnerships.
- Own quarterly and annual planning for the Agency channel setting goals, tracking OKRs, and reporting progress to senior leadership.
- Partner with Product on the agency-relevant roadmap surfacing and prioritizing what agencies and holding companies need (measurement, tooling, self-serve capabilities), and closing the loop with Sales and agency partners on what's shipping and why.
- Build: You're eager to build the operating systems, reporting, and playbooks that scale one of DoorDash's fastest-growing, most strategic sales channels.
- Analyze: You use data-driven decision-making to model deal economics, define incrementality, and make the business case for where DoorDash should invest with agency partners.
- Operate: You want to roll up your sleeves from a single account's JBP math to company-wide reporting infrastructure and solve problems in the moment.
- Collaborate: You value cross-functional partnership and will thrive working across Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal, as well as directly with agency executives.
- Strategize: You'll help define where and how DoorDash grows with global holding companies, from JBP design to next-generation partnership models.
- You have 8+ years of experience in strategy & operations, business operations, sales operations, or partner management experience in advertising, media, or ad tech is strongly preferred.
- You have direct experience with joint business plans, agency/holding company relationships, or complex commercial deal structuring.
- You have strong quantitative and analytical skills (Excel / Google Sheets / SQL, Salesforce) and can build and defend a financial model or revenue forecast.
- You have a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects across Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal and driving them to completion without a playbook.
- You communicate crisply with senior stakeholders and can turn complex data into a clear narrative for a WBR or QBR.
- You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable wearing multiple hats from spreadsheet modeling to executive-facing storytelling in a fast-moving environment.
- You bring experience in advertising, retail media, or agency-side account or planning work.
