Instacart Dress Code by Job Role

Instacart has a flexible but professional dress code. Whether you're shopping in-store or delivering groceries to customers, your appearance should be clean, presentable, and functional. There’s no required uniform, but customer trust starts with how you show up.
Department Guidelines
Tops:Casual t-shirt or polo. Instacart-branded shirts or outerwear are optional but encouraged for customer trust.
Bottoms:Comfortable pants, jeans, joggers, or shorts—must be clean, free of rips, and appropriate for bending/lifting.
Footwear:Closed-toe, comfortable, non-slip shoes are required for safety while shopping and driving.
Accessories:Avoid heavy perfumes or flashy accessories. Use of Instacart-insulated bags is required for temperature-sensitive items.
