Full Job Description
Driver Associates are drivers who have less than two years of current Class A-CDL driving experience. Associates with Driving School certificates are preferred. Martin-Brower will hire and train individuals with less than two years of experience, and will enter them into our driver associate program. These Driver Associates will perform primarily yard duties, and will gain the necessary experience to become a professional driver for the Martin-Brower Company. The program lasts up to 1 year, at which time the driver may be promoted into our professional driver ranks when an opening occurs.
Drivers must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and lift and/or move up to 85 pounds occasionally. Drivers must be able to deliver products in a multitude of methods including manual conveyors and/or carts in multi-temperature environments. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
Drivers must have a Class A, CDL, good MVR, high school diploma or GED. Without a high school diploma or a GED, you must have a minimum of five years safe driving experience. Food distribution/delivery experience is preferred.
