Assistant Warehouse ManagerThe assistant warehouse manager will increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by assisting warehouse manager with overseeing warehouse operations in a safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy and OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulations.

Job DutiesProvide leadership and direction to employees daily

Participate in performance evaluations

Coordinate with supervisors to cover all personnel needs daily

Provide efficient and productive communication between departments

Ensure and assist in the process that all orders are being expedited in a timely and accurate manner

Supervise that all DOT paperwork is completed daily and accurately

Propose personnel and equipment needs

Monitor safety and procedures within the warehouse setting

Take on the responsibilities for inventory accuracy

Follow company policies and procedures

Other duties or responsibilities assigned by the warehouse manager

Operates forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inventory/warehouse management and distribution software

Education

High school diploma/GED required (Associate's degree preferred)

Experience

Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred (Minimum 1 year in progressive position, 3 years preferred)

Wholesale distribution experience preferred

Supervisory experience preferred
