About the RoleUber's global Actioning team owns the core surfaces and systems that manage a user's account lifecycle from 'first trip' to potential loss of platform access and possible reactivation. As the Senior Product Manager for Actioning Experience & Platform, you will lead a portfolio of products that balance the safety and operational health of the Uber marketplace with world-class standards of fairness and empathy.
The work spans our Rider, Eater, Driver, and Courier experiences.
You will own core in-app hubs and design product interventions that guide users when their platform access is healthy, at risk, or (in the extreme case) revoked.
You will set the strategy for how these features evolve, including the thoughtful integration of AI-powered capabilities for our users and internal teams. This role demands principled thinking, bold innovation, and leadership of a global team of star engineers, designers, operators, and scientists in a high-visibility environment.
What the Candidate Will DoDrive Product Strategy: Define the vision for the account lifecycle, moving beyond reactive 'banning' to fair and proactive user guidance.
Build at Scale: Ship user-facing and complex backend products that power a seamless experience for millions of users globally.
Navigate Ambiguity: Be comfortable in uncharted territory as we build unique solutions for a multi-sided marketplace (Eaters, Riders, Drivers, and Couriers).
Be Relentlessly Truth-Seeking: Collect and analyze data to inform your product direction, soliciting critical feedback from stakeholders and users alike.
Innovate with Empathy: Identify opportunities for new products that leverage Uber's global scale to help users in their most anxious moments, working closely with regional teams to solve the problems faced 'on the ground' every day.
Prioritize Ruthlessly: Distill your vision into actionable steps, generating enthusiasm across the team through creative problem-solving and rigorous execution.
Lead with Clarity: Simplify insights, data, and complex trade-offs into a clear path forward for a spectrum of audiences, including executive leadership.

Proven track record of delivering highly successful products in a fast-paced tech environment.
Bias to Action: A 'roll up your sleeves' mentality. You are as comfortable with high-level strategy as you are with labeling model inputs or building AI-powered prototypes to test new ideas.
User Empathy: A deep understanding of user pain points and a drive to mitigate friction in high-stakes moments of the user journey.
Data Fluency: Highly analytical with the ability to run self-serve analytics and use data not just to report, but to inform complex product decisions.
Collaborative Leadership: Exceptional ability to align matrixed stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams with humility and conviction.
- Preferred QualificationsExperience navigating complex organizations including Product, Eng, Legal, Public Policy, Operations, and more.
- Strong UX/UI design sensibilities and experience working with User Research to build customer-obsessed features.
Deep understanding of the market dynamics and regulatory landscape of the gig economy.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
