The Business Enablement (BE) team acts as a strategic partner to the business, driving critical initiatives and ensuring operational excellence. We are a growing team focused on building robust frameworks, managing a complex portfolio of projects, and enhancing credibility and alignment with our cross-functional stakeholders. We thrive on solving complex problems and delivering measurable impact.
The Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Manager to lead our portfolio management function and drive high-priority initiatives from inception to completion. This role is pivotal in providing analytical rigor to our decision-making, ensuring our most critical projects are resourced effectively, and maintaining seamless alignment across the organization. The ideal candidate is an independent leader who excels at stakeholder management, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for creating structure out of ambiguity and leading teams to deliver exceptional results.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $146,000 to $162,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award and other types of compensation. You will also be eligible for various benefits. What You'll Do
- Lead Portfolio Impact Assessments & Prioritization Frameworks
- Manage portfolio-level analysis, including cross-functional impact assessments and monthly prioritization matrices to drive trade-off decisions based on financial, legal, compliance, and resourcing constraints.
- Lead the Center of Excellence (COE) for drafting critical operational documents, including Funds Flow diagrams, Contract Summaries, and high-value Journal Entry ($100 JE) Flows.
- Oversee and manage the JE Flow creation process handled by our resources in India, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Drive and Own P0/Ad Hoc Initiatives
- Independently lead business-critical, high-priority initiatives from intake and scoping through to successful execution, ensuring no disruption to business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
- Own project outcomes, proactively identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (including Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Product, Engineering, and Operations), ensuring seamless communication and partnership health throughout project lifecycles.
- Excel at setting and managing expectations, building consensus, and influencing partners to drive alignment on strategic goals.
- BE Operational Excellence & Change Management
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and artifacts required for successful project implementation and long-term value realization tracking.
- Lead and execute robust change management plans, utilizing creative channels such as podcasts for project overviews, team newsletters, ongoing stakeholder updates, and official Go-Live announcements to ensure smooth adoption.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, business operations, or a related strategic role.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or other advanced degree.
- Experience building and managing prioritization frameworks and conducting portfolio-level analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects from discovery to launch.
- Experience working with or managing remote or offshore teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Experience in change management and a deep understanding of how to drive adoption for new processes or technologies.
- Management Consulting experience preferred; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
