Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with Company Requirements, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and routine safety inspections.
- Work with HOP team to implement HOP philosophy throughout facility and functions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Organize and deliver safety training and drills for employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and permits (e.g., EPA, DEP).
- Oversee hazardous waste management, spill prevention, stormwater protection, and air quality monitoring programs.
- Maintain required environmental records and submit timely reports to regulatory agencies.
- Champion sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
- Direct physical security programs, policies, and procedures to safeguard people, property, and information.
- Manage security staff and contractors, ensuring coverage and readiness.
- Oversee access control systems, surveillance equipment, and visitor management protocols.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Develop and execute emergency response and business continuity plans.
- Lead regular drills for fire, evacuation, active threat, spill containment, and severe weather scenarios.
- Serve as Incident Commander during significant events until relieved by emergency services.

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Security Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of combined EHS and security management experience in a complex industrial, manufacturing, research, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DHS, NFPA, DOT, HOP and other applicable regulations.
- Proven track record leading safety, environmental, and security programs.
- Able to lead Learning Teams and Focus Groups.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
- Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and emergency planning.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
- Prior management experience in high-hazard or highly regulated facility.
