Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Serves as both a technical expert and a leader within the Company and leads by influence and expertise
- Develops high-level control strategies for all automated equipment in our warehouse and manufacturing facilities
- Develops a control strategy for automated production facility machinery to include all PLC-driven equipment
- Assists with the design and development of control systems for new equipment and systems
- Serves as the Company Controls expert and power user and provides guidance to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Director of Manufacturing, Plant Managers, and Vertique Systems Managers
- Establishes an overarching controls philosophy and logic for all equipment systems within the company by establishing coding rules and controls procedures for specific types of manufacturing cells and documenting these practices to ensure standardization
- Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs control systems and assists and provides control logic guidance and training to plant Maintenance Managers
- Supervise, educate, and train plant-level control engineers while maintaining expertise within the Controls Engineer field and should stay abreast of new technology, emerging software code, and new equipment
Experience Requirements

2-4 years equivalent related work experience

Job Overview
The Controls Engineer is responsible for directing and providing strategic controls implementation guidance to CCCI Manufacturing and Warehouse departments. This position establishes and implements CCCI standardized best engineering controls practices and processes that ensure optimal machine performance and overall line efficiency and productivity improvements; ensures controls programming practices are consistent from location to location; supervises the identification, evaluation, and selective implementation of control solutions. The Controls Engineer is also responsible for overseeing multiple sites and leading the Company-wide effort to explore, define, and implement new control practices and control processes within all areas related to automated Manufacturing and Warehousing Systems.
