Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Prepare cakes according to recipes or special requests by customers.
- Properly and safely operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment while following all health and safety standards.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of prepared cake blanks ready to be decorated, including additional production during holidays, national promotions and other peak cake occasions.
- Keep cake production area and equipment clean throughout the shift.
- Stock items and organize as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by management staff.

Starting Pay Range: $11 - $12 and up
Purpose of Job:
Assemble and prepare soft serve and DQ Blizzard cakes and cupcakes according to recipes. Ensure that all cakes meet the Dairy Queen standards of quality and excellence.

- Prepare cakes according to recipes or special requests by customers.
- Properly and safely operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment while following all health and safety standards.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of prepared cake blanks ready to be decorated, including additional production during holidays, national promotions and other peak cake occasions.
- Keep cake production area and equipment clean throughout the shift.
- Stock items and organize as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by management staff.
- Have the desire and drive to produce many cakes during a shift.
- Be able to follow and maintain set par levels for desired inventory on hand.
- Willingness to train and learn the proper procedures for operating soft serve equipment and cake equipment.
- Capability to stand for periods of time and may need to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to learn and adhere to all food safety standards.
- Have a positive attitude and exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene and promptness.
