Full Job Description
Senior Scientist, Rider Experience
Scientists at Uber use data to measure, analyze, and optimize all of Uber's products. On the Rider Experience Science team, you'll have the opportunity to work on the core mobility business and influence the experience for millions of riders. We drive growth in the mobility business by understanding how riders use the app, delivering a seamless experience, and creating new personalized features.
The Science work we do is diverse and helps to drive every stage of product development. Our toolkit includes experimentation, product analytics, and ML modeling. You will collaborate with other scientists, product managers, and business teams to understand the challenges in our space, then tackle problems that no one else has solved yet.
Some of the key projects will include optimizing the rider conversion funnel, developing AI systems to understand metric trends, and running large scale experiments to improve the UX. In this role, you'll have exposure to many of the teams within Uber and an opportunity to influence the strategy for a core pillar of Uber's business.

Minimum 7 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent.
Strong business and product sense: delight in shaping vague questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics that drive business decisions.
Experience collaborating with very senior stakeholders (Director+) and generating insights to shape strategy.
