About the Role
As an Application Engineer on the Sales Automation Engineering team, you will design and deliver mission-critical features across our CRM technology stack. This role is at the heart of our B2B strategy, where you will build seamless integrations between internal systems and external platforms to drive high-impact business outcomes.

By enhancing our CRM ecosystem specifically Salesforce you will empower our Sales and Support teams to excel at customer acquisition, onboarding, and expansion. Your work will have a direct, measurable impact on Uber's global revenue and user growth.

Basic Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Engineering Foundation: 5+ years of professional software development experience with a solid grasp of OOP principles.

  • Salesforce Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development, including deep knowledge of Apex, Lightning, and SOQL/SOSL.

  • Tech Versatility: Experience in at least one backend language (e.g., Java, Go, Python, or C#) and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

  • API Mastery: Practical experience with SOAP, REST, and Bulk APIs, including design and management.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical strategy to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Salesforce Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I/II.

  • Modern DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.

  • SaaS Savvy: Deep experience with cloud-based integrations and SaaS architecture.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.
