• Rider GrowthWe are looking for a manager to support a high performing team of scientists focusing on growth for Uber's Rider app. In this role you will help drive strategy for one of Uber's most critical business priorities.
What You'll Do
Drive measurement and experimentation strategy to accelerate Rider Growth.
Deliver proactive insights to optimize the acquisition and onboarding of new riders.
Develop predictive LTV models to quantify the long-term impact of growth initiatives.
Optimize new rider incentives via statistical modeling and analysis.
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelors degree in Economics, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative fields.
- Minimum 7 years of industry experience as a Scientist or equivalent (4
- if holding a PhD)
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and testing (experimentation) and causal analysis
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leading, mentoring or managing a team of Applied / Data Scientists with strong people leadership skills including growing and mentoring your team members
Proficiency using Python or R at scale with large data sets in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of experience of leading a teams of data scientists with strong product ownership.
Sound fundamentals in experimentation, causal inference and marketplace dynamics.
Experience with growth projects
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$216,000 per year
