Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Lead and drive major safety initiatives to significantly reduce the occurrence and severity of road crashes and associated fatalities.
- Become a subject matter expert on the core safety issues impacting Uber's Mobility and Delivery platforms and the levers we can pull to address them.
- Develop policies governing how to react to reports of concerning behavior and proactive initiatives to drive down the rate of safety incidents.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis using sophisticated data languages and Machine Learning techniques to identify critical trends and patterns in driver behavior related to road safety.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Safety Operations, Legal, and Compliance, to achieve safety goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies and safety initiatives through data analysis and reporting, iterating on strategies for continuous improvement.

Rate of Pay: $129,000 to $157,000 per year

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
