Summary of Sysco Employee Feedback (AI-Generated)

Limited data available for your filters. Using broader results.
4 out of 5

Based on the limited available feedback from Sysco’s operations in Calera, Geneva, and potentially other locations within Alabama, a recurring theme emerges: Sysco appears to be striving to provide competitive compensation and career opportunities to its employees, particularly within the Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver roles.
Multiple reviews highlight a commitment to equitable advancement and rewarding performance, with several drivers expressing satisfaction with their pay and the potential for career growth.
A strong emphasis on work-life balance is also frequently mentioned, suggesting an effort to support drivers in maintaining a healthy balance between their professional and personal lives.
However, a significant concern consistently surfaces – the demanding nature of the work, particularly related to heavy truck driving.
Phrases like ‘work the dog out of you’ indicate potentially long hours and a high-pressure environment, leading to a consistently low rating for Work Life Balance.
While drivers appreciate the company’s commitment to their well-being, the operational demands of the role seem to be a significant strain.
Furthermore, the data set is extremely small (only 6 reviews total), limiting the ability to draw definitive conclusions.
There’s a clear need for a larger, more representative sample to fully understand the overall employee experience across all Sysco locations in Alabama and to validate the observations made within this limited dataset.
Finally, while management is viewed positively, there is a slight area for improvement, as indicated by a slightly lower rating compared to other aspects of the company.

Excellent place to work

During my time at Sysco, I consistently found the work environment positive and supportive. I appreciated the excellent treatment and compensation provided. Specifically, I valued the opportunity to work overnight routes, which, while demanding, were enjoyable and I consistently returned home safely. My colleagues were a great team to work with. My typical workday involved collaborative efforts on nightly deliveries, characterized by a positive and engaging atmosphere.
