Stay far away from Sysco

During the initial training, I experienced significant discrepancies regarding compensation expectations. The promised $5,000 bonus timeline was revised multiple times, initially projected within one month and later extended to six to twelve months. Furthermore, the advertised compensation was not consistently reflected in the offered terms. I was also informed that achieving the stated compensation required a prioritization of work over personal well-being, including sleep and family time. My supervisor advised me to procure necessary equipment for the role, stating that the company would not provide it, and I did not receive a uniform. The company’s operational processes were frequently disorganized, resulting in delayed schedule deliveries. Specifically, my final schedule was not provided until Monday morning of my last week, despite ongoing communication. Team collaboration was negatively impacted by these issues, with colleagues expressing frustration and ultimately choosing to pursue personal activities. While represented by the Teamsters union, the level of support and benefits provided was inadequate. The union’s representation proved weak and primarily focused on benefits management.
