We're looking for a product designer to join the Delivery & Fulfillment Consumer Experience team for Grocery & Retail at Uber Eats. As part of this team, you'll play a key role in transforming Uber Eats from a food delivery product to one that helps customers get anything they want from local merchants.
At Uber, Product Designers tackle challenges and work on big new ideas that will transform how people use our products. In a rapidly growing environment, you'll collaborate with engineers, product managers, content designers and some of the world's best designers and researchers. Uber Design makes magic by crafting and shipping delightful experiences for people around the globe.
What You Will Do
Own design problems from the initial concept through to shipping and beyond
Be the voice of the customer and champion solving user problems
Collaborate with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and researchers to define requirements and align product decisions with user needs and business goals
Partner with our UX research team to better understand our customers' needs
Think systematically to make experiences as scalable as they are elegant and delightful
Create wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to address complex UX problems
Facilitate or participate in design sprints, critiques, and collaborative workshops to generate and validate ideas
Define success metrics and continuously measure the impact of your work
Identify future opportunities and work as a key thought partner with your counterparts in product, engineering, and operations
Basic Qualifications
5
- years of experience designing mobile-first products
A portfolio showing your high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work
Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods
Preferred Qualifications
Shipped many successful software products, ideally both desktop and mobile
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with product designers, engineers, brand, and marketing to ensure both functional clarity and emotional connection
Solid understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
