Basic Purpose: To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
Schedule
Monday
• Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with flexibility to work different schedules as needed
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $2$2 - $29/hour. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
Other duties as assigned by manager.

Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager
External: N/A
Work Environment
Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
Ability to work flexible schedule.
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
Previous mechanical and PM program experience
Experience using fleet maintenance software
Welding ability
