Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards
- Mentor other maintenance shop personnel
- Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action
- Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications
- Other duties as assigned by manager

- Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
- Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
- Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
- Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA & DOT regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
- Computer and software experience/ Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery, Etc.
- Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
- Welding ability
- Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
