BASIC PURPOSE: To load all the outbound orders into the designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards. This makes sure the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day's deliveries.

Us Foods

Loader, you are responsible for loading outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Your work ensures drivers receive properly organized and secured product for efficient deliveries.

Great Loaders are crucial to the US FOODS team and are one of the important faces of our organization. Our Loaders strive for integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

You will:

Conduct trailer inspections prior to loading to ensure cleanliness, correct temperature, and readiness

Build pallets according to delivery stops and securely wrap pallets to prevent damage during transport

Verify pallet header labels and inspect for damaged or outdated product

Load trailers, ensuring bulkheads are properly placed and secured

Complete and submit required load diagrams

Follow all safety work practices and maintain a clean and orderly dock area

What You Bring to the TableEducation / Training:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Related

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse experience preferred

  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Pallet jack experience

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret load diagrams
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

    Team-oriented with the ability to work well with others

    Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $28.85 per hour.
