Summary of DHL Employee Feedback (AI-Generated)

Limited data available for your filters. Using broader results.
3.1 out of 5

Based on the limited but insightful reviews available across DHL’s Kentucky locations, a significant and concerning trend emerges: the employee experience is highly variable and frequently punctuated by inconsistencies.
Across the Erlanger and Hebron sites, particularly for managerial and customer service roles, there are reports of overly scrutinizing management styles, potential bias, and high-pressure environments.
The data reveals a clear dichotomy – while some employees, particularly in the Laborer and Word Processor roles, describe supportive team environments, competitive compensation, and effective onboarding, others report significant stress, unrealistic expectations, and a lack of clear communication.
The Hebron reviews, in particular, highlight the critical need for a larger sample size to accurately represent the overall experience.
Notably, the reviews frequently point to a disconnect between initial promises (e.g., remote work eligibility, performance targets) and the actual day-to-day realities of the job.
Furthermore, there's a recurring concern regarding management practices, with several reviews mentioning a potential for bias and a need for greater transparency and inclusivity.
Despite the positive feedback received for specific roles and the emphasis on effective training, the overall picture is one of inconsistent experiences, emphasizing the need for DHL to address systemic issues and improve communication to foster a more positive and equitable workplace.
The reliance on a small number of reviews underscores the importance of gathering a more comprehensive dataset to truly understand the employee experience across all DHL operations in Kentucky.

Sortation Associate

New in the job

During my time at DHL Express, building upon my prior experience in ramp and sort roles at Amazon Air, I quickly familiarized myself with the operational aspects of the position. While there were differences in workflow and operations due to DHL Express being an international shipper compared to Amazon’s domestic focus, the onboarding training was significantly more effective, featuring experienced and knowledgeable trainers. The work itself is physically demanding but manageable with proper technique. While the tasks can be repetitive at times, shifts pass relatively quickly. The team environment is generally positive and collaborative, fostering a supportive atmosphere – particularly within my immediate work area. This experience has been a positive improvement compared to my previous role at Amazon.

Entry Writer

Customs Entry Writing

This role is characterized by repetitive tasks and a consistently high performance expectation, requiring a specific data entry rate to be maintained daily. There is limited opportunity for variation in projects or tasks. The company prioritizes volume over accuracy in data entry. Furthermore, the initial representation of the position regarding work-from-home arrangements was misleading. The expectation was that a training period would precede a fully remote work model. However, upon completion of training, a sustained performance target of [specific rate, e.g., 5 entries per hour] must be consistently met for eight consecutive weeks to qualify for remote work. This increased expectation, initially presented as 4 entries per hour, has created a demanding and inflexible work environment. Communication regarding these requirements has been unclear.

if I could give 0 stars I would not a good place to work at if your BLACK.

Management’s approach has been consistently challenging, exhibiting a high degree of scrutiny and a tendency to address minor issues with significant consequences. The work environment is highly stressful and potentially unstable. I strongly advise against employment here.
