This is a general posting for multiple Senior Data Science roles open across our 4-sided marketplace. You'll get the chance to learn about the different problems the Data Science team solves as you go through the process. Towards the end of your process, we'll do a team-matching exercise to determine which of the open roles/teams you'll join. You can find a blurb on each team at the bottom of this page.

Platform Data Science Team: Join Instacart's Fraud & Identity team, where you'll play a critical role in safeguarding the platform and optimizing its performance. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams as a trusted partner, delivering strategic insights and data-driven recommendations. Design and execute metrics, frameworks, and predictive models to tackle fraud prevention and identity challenges, driving measurable business impact. Communicate findings and actionable insights clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders, shaping strategy and influencing decision-making to protect users and the platform.
Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
For US based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below.
CA, NY, CT, NJ: $186,000 - $207,000 USD
WA: $179,000 - $199,000 USD
OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $171,000 - $190,000 USD
All other states: $155,000 - $172,000 USD
