Consumer Product Marketing Manager II, Growth

Are you a strategic, business-minded marketer eager to shape how we grow usage and habit formation across all of our rider products? As a Product Marketing Manager II focused on Rider Multi-Product Use, you'll develop strategies to deepen relationships with our riders and run a small team to accelerate adoption across the portfolio.

In this role, you'll play the important role of changing how riders think of Uber. Many riders often stick with one product, but a key part of our growth comes from exposing them to new products and needs we can meet for them. This role focuses on developing the right strategies, campaigns, and content to educate riders on the breadth of our offering, simplify their decision-making, and get them to adopt products they have yet to try. You'll partner closely with teammates across Product, Marketing, Research, Design, and Engineering to grow multi-product usage.

You'll bring a creative and user-first mindset, paired with a curiosity for data and optimization. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you'll have the opportunity to shape how riders think about our entire rider offering, work with Product to make our purchase flow as effective as possible, and connect the dots across Marketing and Product to catalyze growth across diverse global audiences.

What You'll Do

Team management: You'll manage a small team of PMMs who contribute to overall multi-product usage efforts, inclusive of things like in-app marketing content about our products and new rider growth strategies to convert recent app signups onto these products. You'll also drive your own projects and experiments in tandem.

Product adoption: You'll develop a roadmap and learning agenda for the types of marketing strategies and tactics we use to get riders to try different products from our portfolio (e.g., Uber Comfort, Uber Share, Wait & Save, Uber Moto, Courier, etc.).

Product merchandising: You'll identify ways we can better visualize and/or articulate the value of our products both in marketing placements and directly in the purchase flow to increase product understanding and consideration.

Driving experimentation: Collaborate cross-functionally to test hypotheses to test these marketing tactics and content ideas across various channels.

Leveraging insights: Craft positioning, messaging, and education tailored for different audiences based on insights, motivations, and barriers to adoption.

Championing rider needs: Partner with Research, Marketing, and Product teams to synthesize insights and data to inform campaign strategies that drive multi-product usage.

Scaling content globally: You'll take learnings from experiments and then scale campaigns to markets around the world.

Basic Qualifications

• years of experience in product marketing or growth marketing with 4
• years of experience in consumer product marketing specifically.
• Bachelor's Degree

Past experience managing product marketers and helping them achieve effective, fulfilling work.

Preferred Qualifications

Balancing strategy and execution: While you'll be thinking about higher level strategy for your pod, you're also able to dive in and drive projects of your own in parallel.

Penchant for data: You just go get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story. You know how to leverage data to make decisions and drive growth.

Storytelling: You can craft a compelling narrative across different touch points, and you know how to match the message to the medium.

Self-starter: You're biased toward action, a great collaborator across functions, internally and externally, and a master disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and making things happen.

Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, and you persevere when others fall away.

Experimentation: You've run experiments, know about designing an experiment properly, and know how to interpret results.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership.

Insight-minded: You have the willingness and know-how to deeply understand the market, customers, and competition.

Product thinking: You know how to translate insights into ideas to try in the product experience and in marketing to increase conversion.

Copywriting: You're able to develop your own consumer-friendly copy when you need to move quickly.

AI: You approach using AI in your workflow with a growth mindset, using it to both find ways to work more efficiently and accelerate content creation for experiments.

Previous experience working in a consumer technology company.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$169,000 per year
