The road safety science team is committed to making rare safety events even rarer. In this role you will partner closely with our safety and Autonomous Vehicles (AV) teams to develop insights analysis and metrics to understand and improve the safety of autonomous vehicles on Uber's platform.
What the Candidate Will Do
Partner with cross-functional teams across product, ops and engineering as well as external partners to measure and understand AV safety.
Identify interventions and product improvements that make Uber safer for everyone.
Present findings to technical and non-technical teams.
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
Two plus years experience industry experience in Data Science
- Strong SQL and Python programming
- Strong applied knowledge of experiment design and analysis
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multi-sided marketplace applications
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $140,000 per year - $156,000 per year
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $140,000 per year - $156,000 per year
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation.
