Summary of Lowe's Employee Feedback (AI-Generated)

3.2 out of 5

Across the 14 employee reviews of Lowe’s locations in various states, a recurring theme is the mixed nature of the work experience.
Many locations, particularly those in smaller markets like Anchorage, Alaska and Moses Lake, Washington, reported positive, engaging environments, often centered around customer interaction and learning opportunities.
Employees frequently valued the chance to contribute to customer projects, receive updates, and expand their knowledge of home improvement.
However, a significant and concerning trend emerged across multiple reviews, particularly at the Moses Lake and Anchorage locations, related to unsustainable workloads, insufficient management support, and high employee turnover.
Specifically, a consistent complaint revolved around excessive workloads, inconsistent scheduling, and a perceived lack of support from leadership, leading to considerable stress and burnout.
Several reviews highlighted a general sense of stagnation, with limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly at locations with fewer employees.
While compensation and benefits were often considered acceptable, the operational challenges and management issues consistently overshadowed these aspects.
Finally, a common thread was the reliance on a single review, making a holistic assessment of the overall Lowe’s experience challenging.
The diversity of locations and employee experiences underscores the need for a more robust and representative data set to accurately gauge the company’s performance and employee satisfaction.

Project Support Professional

Unfair changes created major responsibility problems.

Initially, my experience at Lowe's was positive. My manager within the Install Support Team (IST) department was consistently responsive and the systems operated effectively with minimal issues. However, subsequent management changes led to a decline in support responsiveness and a lack of assistance when needed. System updates have introduced complexities that have negatively impacted both employee and customer satisfaction, resulting in increased customer complaints and a shift in the IST department’s focus towards sales activities, which deviated from its original purpose.

Customer Service Representative

fun work

As a Customer Service representative, I value my role and the opportunities for growth within the company. While I appreciate the benefits package offered, compensation is currently below market value for the level of responsibility and dedication demonstrated in this position. Maintaining a full-time employment status is a requirement for accessing these benefits.

Returning Employee

As a returning employee, my initial experience was negatively impacted by concerns raised regarding my cash register operations. Management expressed dissatisfaction with my performance, which led to direct feedback from a customer who reacted strongly to the situation. Despite this, I remained employed for two weeks until Labor Day. Unfortunately, my final paycheck was not received, and I ultimately concluded that the management’s approach lacked consideration for my circumstances.

Receiver/Stocker overnight

Mostly good except in the summer

During the winter months, particularly from November through March/April, my experience as an overnight receiver/stocker at Lowe’s was positive. However, as the season transitions into spring, the volume and size of deliveries increased, and the HVAC system experienced recurring malfunctions, creating an excessively warm working environment for extended periods. I would recommend this role primarily as a seasonal position during the cooler winter months.
